Closure plate adaptor with test point

The flex closure plate adaptor, with its integral round collar and test point allows the adaptor to be screwed on to the flex simply and safely and the collar to be attached to a closure plate.The adjustable pipe section below the collar allows for the pipe to slide down inside a Prima Smooth connecting flue pipe to the required height.

The neat and aesthetic test point allows for simple draft testing both at the time of installation and at subsequent services to meet with best practice recommendations from HETAS.

Adjustable closure plate

The updated design of the Adj Closure Plate adaptor from Single Wall to Flex has allowed us to reduce the height of the adaptor above the plate making the product easier to fit for the installer when working in a confined space.

The product works in the same way, with Schiedel’s TecnoFlex Plus chimney liner screwing into the adaptor above the plate. For wood burning or solid fuel high temperature applications, no additional sealant is required, the fit between the flex and the screw fit adaptor has been tested and approved to provide a safe and secure joint suitable for N1 applications without any additional sealant.

Schiedel Prima Smooth single wall connecting flue pipe is then used to connect to the male spigot protruding beneath the plate. The Prima Smooth pipe can slide up into the gap between the spigot and the plate allowing for thermal expansion. If the stove needs to be removed for servicing, then the connecting flue pipe can slide up inside the plate allowing for the stove to be removed and then reconnected simply without the need to cut the pipe.
