Cross-section dimensioning

The appropriate chimney cross-section, together with the effective chimney height, ensures the necessary discharge pressure of the heat generator and the extraction of flue gases via the roof to the outside in the event of negative pressure in the chimney. In conjunction with well-dimensioned thermal insulation, it ensures a high flue gas temperature at the chimney outlet. However, Schiedel also attaches great importance to the cross-sectional dimensioning of the chimney system from the outset for reasons of economic efficiency.

About the Kesa online tool - Stove systems

This online tool is only available in German. Our online tool for cross-section measurements allows you to make your own calculations for our chimney systems . The results of each calculation for fireplaces up to 30 KW rated heat output are available as a PDF. Systems for fireplaces with a nominal heat output greater than 30 KW and for solid fuel fireplaces that are independent of room air can be configured and sent directly to our application engineering department using the online tool. You will then receive the dimensioning result as a PDF to the e-mail address you provided.
