Schiedel celebrates 50 years of expertise and innovation at Hearth & Home

Since entering the market in 1967 with its B Vent product, as the UK’s 1st manufacturer of prefabricated Gas Vent, Schiedel Chimney Systems has expanded over the last half century to offer contemporary, high-performance solutions, approved for use in eco-design houses, such as timber-framed and Passivhaus buildings.

ncluding an extensive product range that makes life easier for installers and promises high quality, fast-turnaround jobs for end users, for its steel systems in particular, Schiedel can offer some of the longest warranties in the marketplace.

A selection of its innovative products will be on show at the Hearth & Home exhibition, including the market leading ICID range of Twin Wall Insulated System Chimneys, energy efficient Double Module systems and Pumice liners. Builders and heating installers visiting the stand will also be able to find out about Schiedel’s latest HETAS training courses, delivered from its purpose-built centre in Washington, Newcastle.

On show at the Hearth & Home:

Steel System Chimneys, connecting flue pipes and flexible liners: Schiedel is the market leader for steel chimneys, flues and flexible liners; easy-to-fit systems, with options to suit stoves, open fires, gas and oil appliances, in new build or retrofit applications.

Pumice liner: Highly insulated for better draught with minimum heat loss, the pumice liner system comes in a range of 15 diameters, ideal for new build as well as relining existing masonry chimneys. Suitable for solid fuel, wood, oil and gas.

Ignis Protect: Ignis Protect is Schiedel’s award-winning wall pass thru’ systems, designed specifically for air tight, energy efficient and timber framed buildings. Suitable for SW and DW connecting flue pipes, Ignis Protect is available in both 90° and 45° versions.

Double Module (DM) chimney system: Quick and easy to install, Schiedel’s DM chimney system provides maximum insulation. Built from lightweight blocks, the outer and inner layers are installed at the same time, with a double layer of pumice, separated by an air gap to maximize chimney insulation.

Embracing the digital world, Schiedel has recently launched a new-look website to better showcase its product range, with useful literature, available on the site and through the Schiedel App, allowing installers to check product and technical information on the go, as well as register product warranties directly from the App.
